Contest Winner Announced

Helen Westbroook is the winner of a brand new flat screen television! She recruited the most donations in a 24-hour period, ending at 10pm Friday, January 15, 2010 for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Jacksonville. This experimental fundraiser was announced first at the UNF basketball game on Thursday night by alumna Megan Schumann and Board member Holly Tyrrell. Also watch for fundraisers put on by UNF Student Athlete Advisory Committee, including a February 26th talent show at the student union auditorium. Thank you for caring about our mission.

Holidays Were Made Special at RMH

There were decorated trees all around, there were gifts for everyone and a special Christmas dinner prepared by a local Navy squadron. It you didn't know better, you would have thought that the families enjoying puzzles and DVD movies together were one big happy family. And on Christmas night they were!  Thanks to the generosity of the Jacksonville community, the families who had to be in here for their child's medical treatment were treated to shopping at Wal Mart, homemade blankets, delicious sweets and many comforts of home.
